Swiss Flybaboo Flies Geneva-Lugano Inauguration Flight - 02/11/2003

 

Swiss airline Flybaboo flew its inauguration flight from the Cointrin airport, in Geneva, southwestern Switzerland, to the airport in Lugano, in the Swiss southeastern canton of Ticino, on The inauguration flight was carried out with Swiss officials and Flybaboo director, Julian Cook, on board. The passengers were warmly welcomed by Ticino citizens on their arrival at the Lugano-Agno airport.
Flybaboo will fly to Venice, northeastern Italy, with a refuelling stop in Lugano, as of November 17, 2003, Cook said. In the future the carrier plans to link Geneva to Marseille and Nice, southern France, and Olbia, on the Italian island of Sardinia, Cook added.
